TV Binge List: Selling Sunset

Boy, these women sure know how to hustle. Think, selling houses, but selling houses to millionaires (and the occasional billionaire) … in Hollywood.

What sounds like the absolute dream job comes with a hefty price tag. Tensions are tight, the business is cut-throat, the attitudes are fierce, and these women are not playing around.

The show is currently sitting at two seasons (S2 available now to stream on Netflix), and is one of the most boujee reality shows out there right now. We are whisked off to tinsel town and follow the glamourous everyday lives of the West Hollywood real estate agency: The Oppenheim Group.

Team Oppenheim! We have Brett and Jason Oppenheim (owners), a pack of serious boss ladies; Christine, Mary, Maya, Heather, Denise, Chrishell (new girl in season 1), and most recent team member, Amanza (season 2).

Selling Sunset's Oppenheim Group Wine: Everything We Know

This series gives you just enough reason to want to visit Los Angeles, let alone dream the big dream of actually ‘making it’ there. It is such a blissfully addictive watch. We see the money, the glamour, the mansions and of course, the drama. The dynamics of this group is quite clearly orchestrated for TV and sometimes doesn’t give the show much of an edge over other reality TV. This can become a bit tedious at times – unless you love a bit of the theatrics.

However, when it comes to viewing properties, the agency has absolute free reign over these stunning Hollywood homes once they have potential buyers. This means the audience has unprecedented access inside those VIP mega-structures, as if we were the client. Which, let’s be honest, is the whole reason we are watching. The editing is spectacular and presents LA at its most flattering angle, which ties in the whole experience nicely.

Season 3 is currently streaming on Netflix.
